VT has been always pro Irys. The only complains about her are her the character design and the lack of English originals despite being an EN member. Nowdays the chimkin is more liked than disliked, you can encounter some bait and schizos sometimes, but only a remmanent from the time she used to be hated /here/

/vt/ used to shit on irys pretty hard for failing at her vsinger role. There were a lot of anons arguing that Gura, Mori, Kiara, Ina, and even Ame completely mogged her singing skills. But then she basically dropped the vsinger gimmick because it wasn't working and changed her focus to being a regular vtuber which made /vt/ finally accept her.

Which was all just retarded bait, IRyS blows all of them out of the water completely except MAYBE Gura, who's at least kind of comparable, but IRyS is easily the best singer in EN and up there for all of hololive as well.

The problem with IRyS music is that she has 0 input on them other than providing the voice. Mori has full creative control over her music and like her or not it makes it unique. IRyS just sings about generic chuunishit and despite having the best singing skills in EN she doesn't stands out because of the direction.

Oh well even if that fails she's a super solid streamer and probably the best in EN. Pleasant voice, silly, funny, sexy, weird and interesting, she's got it all.

IRyS has zero vocal direction. It’s like she is singing to sing and not feeling the emotion that is supposed to be conveyed in her songs. That’s one key area Gura, Mumei, and somehow Kiara are better at doing than IRyS

Kiara's indeed the most developed vtuber character wise, she has grown a lot and i'm happy for KFP, IRyS is extremely talented and she could carry an entire gen on her own, that's why i believe she got a solo role mostly.
