Eh... MOST (sure, not all) of the other EN girls do at least have some sort of explanations or excuses for when they don't stream as much, or having weaker weeks etc. and most importantly they actually communicate with the fans in advance or during, to do even the barest minimum of keeping in touch and at least pretending to care.
Sana is really a negative standout in EN with both her long absences, and ever since "dog died" months ago she doesn't even bother to excuse her recent absences, she just doesn't care

A simple, "You must stream at least X hours a month unless there is a legit reason" in the contract would prevent that. To say you can't even do a couple 1 hour streams a week is not the type of person you want. It's just such a shame that she can't just engage the fans for a little. Like even doing something like 3 watchalongs a week requires almost no setup and not too much prep to do. She could literally just start watching whole anime series on the side and at least that's something. Would be shit numbers but some people like watch parties

Sana has none, so it stands to reason that having a more robust streaming track record is something that should be more highly valued in future applicants to lessen the possibility of another Sana. A previous streaming record to look at and comb over should give the company a better estimate to judge a persons workrate (how long/often did they stream in the past, shows dedication vs laziness)

Another big part of what's keeping Sana away from streaming is the fact that she prioritizes her chink gacha illustrations over Hololive. Now, of course you want multitalented professional people, and it's unavoidable that they have pre-existing businesses or want to uphold their side jobs - but at least it shouldn't go so far that it rather feels as if Hololive is their side-job, and they rather prioritize their other main job. Other people (for example Mori with her music, Ina with her illustrations) have also struggled with this at times, but ultimately still managed to achieve the bare minimum at least, while Sana takes this to a whole 'nother extreme disregard.
I don't really know how Cover can prevent this for future applicants, other than being very discerning when an applicant also has other important side jobs / life commitments that can become a time issue, and it'd be a shame to reject them because obviously you also want talented people, but if the risk of truancy is too high, it's better to filter them. Or at least have some kind of regulation / (dis)incentives to actually enforce cooperation and workrate.

Whether or not that was the case, at least for future applicants Cover should be extremely careful, because in the absence of other good points that speak for the applicant (for example, the two I outlined above), the word of a friend should not mean much. Doesn't even have to be actual firing, of course (is always a PR-headache that's better avoided for as long as it's not necessary), but I can imagine at least some sort of sliding-scale income penalty.
For example, it's usually said that the income-sharing between Cover and the talent is half and half. Now let's say that you establish some baselines and brackets, and if a talent streams less than the minimum time for the month, the income sharing between Cover and talent becomes progressively worse, for example 60/40 or 75/25. So that the talent is actually motivated to stream more (even if just for financial reasons, as in they feel the hurt in their pocketbooks if they don't), and it gets back to normal again when they actually reach or exceed their quota again.

Of course, such incentive schemes may have an varied impact on morale, and might not work in instances like Sana, where the talent already derives much of her income from her non-Holo side-job, so she's not as dependant and already prioritizes her other commitments from which she earns more

First of all, the other girls don't really mention her that much in the first place (which indicates that she's not only absent from Hololive streaming publicly, but also probably doesn't really have the closest connection to the other girls behind the scenes and just ghosts them as well). Then of course, even if the topic of Sana came up for whatever reason in the other girls' streams, they wouldn't really comment on her absences, either out of a sense of solidarity, not knowing / not caring about what's going on with her, or simply not wanting to even just appear of being possibly negative. Came at a bad time and taking 2 weeks off when you're fairly new isnt going to help. In that time the other girls were all doing collabs and getting their faces in other peoples channels.

She was missing and gave no one to care.

She COULD rectify that with hard work but honestly after 6 months and probably not forming any friendships with the other girls who are now probably all in cliques of their own you'd feel like a real outsider.
Even when cucked by geography to not be able to participate in offcollabs the rest of EN probably dont know enough about her to invite her to regular collabs like Bae does.

Really seems like shes just sort of given up. Maybe shes playing chicken with management and waiting to see how long she can get away with doing nothing before they reprimand her or something. But it has to be an elephant in the room with the rest of council. Everyone is making leaps forward except her.

I think "hate" is a strong word considering gens get to know each other from way before debut and they did seem to interact more around debut. Yeah her humor was stupid but everyone's was and everyone was figuring things out at the time.
Nowadays they probably understand her a bit and want to be polite to keep the show going but after 6 months it's clear the relationship they have with her is different and more underdeveloped than the one they have between themselves or even with Myth/ID and they probably feel some pity.

I was arguing at my ex oshi split once(no I'm not a sanallite and never was) that the membership was a fucking waste of money since she never did anything interesting with it and barely even streamed and I was not even getting a burger of enjoyment out of it.
I got told I might as well be an anti and that I should support her when she's struggling, even if she wasn't producing, because she's probably doing things in the background and we don't know and yadda yadda yadda. All excuses because they also knew the content wasn't worth it but they wanted to keep paying.

In the end, this "hobby" cultivates fanatics and paypigs that get obsessed about a girl gamer online and will empty their wallets for her, no matter the content she produces. In the end I left my ex-oshi split since it became toxic between the zealots and drive-by trolling since her recline was noticeable(again, never was a sanallite , but you can make the parallels with her situation)

I blame Astrology streams as part of the reason she's not returning. Sana needs to just reestablish what she wants to do and be honest with herself and the audience about why. The sooner she drops the illusion that she enjoys her failed projects and admits that they're holding her back, the sooner she can just focus on consistent streaming and find out what kind of content she wants to do and enjoys naturally. Rather than trying to force everything to work and being hurt when it doesn't, she can find her place in Hololive and feel proud to share a stage with her genmates one day.

Mumei and Balls were useless, Kronii was popular but lazy, and Fauna was also pretty alright. Gacha is such a fucking waste for these artists too. They think it's a great opportunity that will give them a meaningful foothold in the Japanese art industry, when in reality they're being exploited as cheap overseas labor because foreign artists undersell themselves compared to Japanese artists, along with the added bonus of not rustling anybody's feathers because JP artists know their bigger career prospects aren't being threatened. Also they become pigeonholed into drawing moeblob style, robbing them of any local illustration jobs compared to a poorfag that's forced to draw multiple styles to get by.

This actually reminds me of something. I feel like having famous Mangka as Mamas and Papas is far more of a detriment now then a boon. Many of them are legit busy people and not cheap either. Some are also, sadly, lazy. I understand why it was a selling point when Hololive was new, but nowadays I think they'd be better served with inhouse artists who can quickly get designs and new outfits out there and for much cheaper. If I was Ina I'd be mad honestly. I've been in a situation where I recommended someone to get hired because they were a friend and they turned out to have a shit work ethic. It was very embarrassing for me, honestly. Friends are great, but in the future I won't recommend someone for that alone.
