after a couple attempts with an unupgraded weapon hitting for 80 damage, I decided to just fuck off and do other stuff.
explored a couple caves, killed some giant lookin things, realized the horse-goat can fucking double-jump, found a claymore and immediately switched to it because claymore has been the best souls weapon since DaS 1, killed four different bosses, and upgraded my claymore
then I came back and kicked Margit's ass.
