The difference here is Hololive took over a year to specify that they want males. Nijisanji was Shu's focus since 2019, as he's hako-oshi for them, it was all he talked about in PL. Nijisanji didn't have an iota of a hint that EN would exist back then.
I am glad he didn't get into Holostars, because he is a great fit for Nijisanji. No offense to Holostars bros. The boys are great but I don't like how the girls treat them. Saying that female unicorns are the reason they won't reach out for Holostars collabs.
