It wasn't forced, since AmeSame have great chemistry and knew each other probably from PL.
The Problem was that Gura became the most successful VTuber and Ame didn't want to be known only as Gura's friend/ship aka EN Kanatan.

Cuz they seem like genuine friends. Especially recently IRyS gave her an expensive skin care set for her birthday and another gift which is still unknown (according to IRyS is also girly). Overall they have a good thing going on which all feels very very natural.
