I'll try to make this vague. For example, in my city there's a very small contingent of archaeology professors. We invited a famous professor to hold a seminar. After the seminar I was in charge of driving that professor to his small but posh hotel. Right across the small street was a PC bang where I figured to play DotA until the next morning. When I took a break to get something to eat, right as I go outside I spot one of my classmates entering the hotel, not in her uniform anymore. The car that dropped her off had 3 of her friends there, which made a u-turn and immediately stopped when they saw me looking from the opposite side of the road. They told me to keep it a secret. Now this classmate was a celeb nationwide. I just stumbled onto a scandal. No wonder the other girls in class didn't like her. I would've never known if I didn't catch her in the act.
Outright doxxing is hard because you need footage for that. Not everyone videos their every move.
