Also, they know how to pander to the lonely otaku crowd, while most of the competitors masquerade as normalfags. They don't seem to realize that normalfags who are interested in vtubing represent an absolutely tiny, not to mention disloyal, audience by comparison.
Your problem is that you think most Holo fans are extreme unicorns. Very few people think that their idols are all innocent virgins. The difference is that Holos don't openly talk about their boyfriends and how many meters of dick they've sucked the last couple of weeks on-stream. Nobody is really interested in hearing about that. That's the crucial difference.
