>>19981655The grand strategy of "who gets ukraine" is bleedingly obvious. if Russia gets it, then in a war any frontline (at least to start with) is far away from the Russian homeland and it makes the Baltics practically undefendable, gives Russia clear lines to invade Modolva & Romania and makes it extremely easy to link up from Kaliningrad to Belarus.
If NATO can get Ukraine on it's side then Belarus is undefendable, St Petersburg will be under attack by ground forces within the first 24 hours & armies in Western Ukraine and Northern Turkey will slice the lines of communication & transport to the caucuses, and airbases can strike Russian logistics from day one.
Of course, this was all before the Russians exposed themselves as corrupt shitters who can't even drive the 4 hours from Gomel to Kiev without having sold all their fuel and food to Belarusian peasants and getting stuck on the road, lost a bunch of airborne troops, got multiple generals killed and annihilated their long term economy for nothing.
If they didn't have nukes nato would have blown them out of Ukraine and been halfway to Moscow by now.
