I haven’t watched a Hololive stream (or any vtubers, since I only watch Hololive) since HolostarsEN was announced. HololiveEN will be changed forever, the magic’s dead, and the one hobby I cared about is ruined. I knew it wouldn’t last forever but I didn’t expect it to end this way. I am planning on dropping vtubers near entirely come April to make time for anime that's airing then.

I'll miss Ame, but I've been feeling nostalgic for the old format of just setting aside time at night and watching anime until super late instead of there being a person behind it that I can project a relationship onto. It's probably healthier to step away for a while anyway.

I have a parasocial obsession with my oshi and being in her general only makes it worse. Gura and Calli sound burned out to me that I think they contemplated graduating. Maybe its because drama,events, or because lack of permissions for games they like but a lot of the time it's seems like they just replay the same old games they're sick of and say the same jokes/memes over and over since they don't have any new ones.

I know it's irrational and there is a sea of other vtubers to watch but my oshi being on break is making me fall out of giving a shit about anything vtuber related. Doesn't help that he effectively got removed from any and all promotions, even things that were announced weeks before like White Day subway ads. I haven't watched any streams since the beginning of March. I know he's been shitposted a lot but this is a genuine post, I love watching him and he's funny, and I'm worried things will change too much when he returns.
