People can say they are "not a vtuber" all they want, there is nothing special or deep about the meaning - it literally always just using some virtual persona and that is it.

Same reason I will argue about Uni saying she isn't a vtuber because of some silly philosophical blogpost about what it "means" to vtube. It means fucking nothing. Vtubing is a parent term for a fuckload of loosely related sub-groups that made it easy to identify them. Utaites, PNG tubers, L2D, 3D, VR, all that shit is under that heading. Even mixed reality types back in the experimental days and still common now, all of it is vtubing.
