Her manager wanted to fuck her, and fair enough with how she looks, she said no. Manager proceeded to schiz out and send her threats and shit from his company email like a retard. Cover didn’t do anything about this until she lawyered up and got the police involved. Whether or not there was anything physical in the abuse we will never know.

She was seriously kneecapped by Cover and Youtube. She never really stood a chance with how that manager drama killed all her momentum and made her "the missing member" right when Hololive exploded in popularity. YouTube banning or demonetizing lewd ASMR, her primary form of content, killed what hope she had left. I don't think she would have ended up being one of the most popular members regardless, but she really did get dealt a terrible hand.

it depends on your own definition of success. From the musical side of things, she has released 4 song cover albums (and 1 collab song cover album) so far, featured as a singer in other people's works, performed live with other utaite, and performed solo live (only once iirc). she also do some voice acting, like in a Charon game. She also released some merchs and stuffs, that's why Kson asked her about that, she's quite experienced. They are in a smaller scale, but good enough I think.

Yeah, but cover also wasn't taking her case seriously at the time and finally stepped in after she was sexually assaulted. Cover had to put out an official statement saying they were going to change the way they do things to prevent things like that happening from then on and that they would fully financially support the legal action Mel was taking to press charges against her ex-manager.
