>>20293316Usually major inconsistencies and basic mistakes. Things like properly conveying forms is a big one because /beg/s lack the nuance in those tiny areas. So areas like fingers where a good artist can round the edges properly to make them have depths a tracer will just smash it with a flat line and it makes them look flat, edges in general have that issue.
Silly anatomy mistakes that don't make sense unless you're just copying ,this can be put up to badly using reference but depending how badly and nonsensical it can be more obvious of tracing.
Just general inconsistent skill, if someone has perfect anatomy and proportions, but their ability in drawing folds, their line weight, redering, etc is bad, its a pretty big indicator. Of course there's just general skill variation but usually things rise to similar levels and you have a general idea what you're doing just due to practice.
Another that's harder to tell is that artists tend to have certain ways of simplifying or rushing through certain aspects and they're usually pretty consistent in how they do so. Tracers don't know the reasoning behind it so they just ignore it and usually do the full process, but inconsistently so you'll still see peaks of the original's shortcuts but not all.
Everything still requires some piecing together but there's usually a bunch of indicators. Sometimes you're wrong and judge someone incorrectly but it shouldn't be taken as a compliment because it usually just means you're extremely inconsistent and are majorly lacking in fundies.
