>>20525814I guess we just had different experience then
I don't spend a lot of time in discords, yet I'm in like 40 of them all for different specific purposes (work, hobbies, technical stuff, old groupf of friends, vtubers...) and I never had much issue, I just open one if I get pinged or if I need to discuss or post something specific at a given moment. I general any serious talk happens in DM. If people want to spend their day sitting in a chatroom talking about w/e I don't care it's their problem not mine. I regularly got to specific vtubers' discord if there is an event or something worth sharing but have no interest chatting for hours there is never any time for something like this.
If the vtuber happens to be on at the time and chatting (it happens) then sure it's like a guerilla stream but low-cost, either I'm here and free when it happens and it's a nice little bonus, or I'm not available r aware and it's nothing, I'll probably never hear of it and it doesn't impact my life.
So in the end I just can't see much iissue, if some people have ton of free time and lonely enough to spendf their time like this, so be it, it's always been a thing and will always be, I don't care, it doesn't affect my life. And discord can be very useful to keep track of events and projects and many things, it's just "take what you need" for me.
