Like "He was disappeared by the CIA" implies the CIA killed him, but officially he just "mysteriously disappeared" and they'll make sure no one investigates it.
You wouldn't say an article was "disappeared" if it was deleted regularly so much as a situation like "the author had some controversy and everything he wrote was quietly removed from the site with no further comment from them"
People saying Rushia was disappeared is basically implying Cover is doing their best to pretend she never existed, not just that she's being removed from some things. It's arguable as to whether that's appropriate, of course, but it DOES have a different connotation than just saying she was removed.
