am i the only one with mixed feelings about this shows? for the people attending I bet it was phenomenal but for a guy watching it from a monitor it doesn't make sense, it just felt like an ordinary everyday 3d show, it would be cool if we had the chance to switch cameras and things like that to make it worthwhile, it was cool regardless but I'm not paying for another show if they don't implement things for the people at home

I feel the same which is why I didn't buy, although some concerts have these full feature suites for digital buys a lot don't even in traditional music because they want to drive up the value of going in person. That's actually a good thing for cover. Their biggest investors so far are still private investors so they can bank most of their profits into their own pocket for expansion and stuff. Having investor is nice and all when you just started and you have big vision in mind. Thank god yagoo wasnt so ambitious so cover could built their warchest early (although still small for corpo standard) without outsider's hand got too much involved on their path.
Cover/Hololive right now is walking that ideal path with many sponsors/collaborator without a single major investor to held them back

For all the bullshit I've given them about their game development it is a decent idea from a business perspective. Diversifying into another product type that they also can promote with their vtubers is good. But for it to work and last past the first game they need to deliver something playable, not perfect and not even a great game, just playable to the point were buyers can accept it as a first attempt but yet buy the next game if they release that.

Just so you know, Cover is solvent for a number of years even if they make no profit all because of how big their got back in 2020 and 2021. Raising capital is largely a non-issue for them as it currently stands.

Their business is not operating as a tech company though, so they have to mind not to spend all their cash doing whatever except maybe paying off the investors and getting them to fuck off if they're being too pushy.

They can't really rely on big sponsorships out west because vtubing is still a niche in burgerland and Europe plus their content isn't exactly sponsor friendly. They don't have a JP branch in the one market that actually considers Vtubers as somewhat mainstream. And even if they did, they don't have the same brand power as Niji or Holo. Their audience has made being anti-idol a part of their identity so they can't really do their own version of Holofes. And after seeing how amateurish their management has handled stuff (nux drama, the whole charity for ukraine thing, not keeping a leash on TTS dragon) I have little hope that the 11mil is gonna get put to good use.

I think it feels a little different though. Kronii can easily beat 4/5ths of Myth when she really tries. She has the 2nd highest ceiling in EN. Rough avg of the remaining 4 peaks gives about 165k.
165k*3/8 gives us an approximation of 60k.

So the initial debut will probably start at 50k, average will be around 60k, and the last one might peak at 70k. 80k if there's a tourist buff X factor.

idk what this means but JP is using the NijiEN model of shorter debut times, original song, official unit name before debut, etc
Last year with edengumi to show the difference, they had about 40 minutes of debut and their name was only decided later on after collabs, similar to past waves in nijisanji
