>>20809738No, she does not have a point for she is missing the forest for the trees. I, as the audience, do not wish to know how much her roomate fucks around, how many boyfriends she has, what drugs she likes or what kind of parties she goes to. I really don't. If she is going to doxx herself and it turns out she's fucking around then she has no foot to stand on, any negative attention she gets is fully deserved for breaking the illusion.
She should actually take the words she's saying there to heart and separate the vtuber from the meatspace persona so her private life remains exactly that, a private life. I don't need to know about it as someone who watches her as an entertainer. The advantage of vtubers is that you have a much easier time hiding your real identity and if you're gonna throw that advantage away... well, I don't have much sympathy. Obviously in some cases it's understandable when schizos doxx a vtuber that the anonymity is lost, but even in cases such as that there's a lot that can be done to create a layer of plausible deniability by not being active in the entertainment space as your roomate and by never acknowledging any connection.
Just to be clear, I'm not actually trying to specifically talk about that particular person - all of this broadly applies to all vtubers. The fact that she's talking about it suggests that she's one of the people that doesn't "get" it. All of this is specially important for any vtuber who decides to do GFE, because for them getting doxxed is going to cause massive problems.
