They got paid so whatever. Maybe they should have done a better job for the shark. We've seen plenty of Holo projects that were half-assed or phoned in with shitty mixing, instrumentals, lyrics ect. It wouldn't be the first or even the 25th time contractors turned in subpar material to Holos. How many times do they release things only to come around 5 months later and say "eh I didn't really even like the final product"? Very possible. Stars broke 27k and 21k themselves with their main channel holofes streams a few days ago, and debuts punch above what streamers can usually achieve (see Holox) because of tourism.

I think this is their first debut since like early 2020, the first post-Myth, and you know that the audience is different from what it was back then. If they got someone that speaks English, that person might just get enough attention to incline the rest of the branch just form having them around.

They all have 3-4K medians and the only girls that have similar medians to them are Selen and Pomu.

Ike's first Omori stream was 4k, him getting 8k on the 2nd stream is an anomaly.

Decline/Incline is relative to the streamer in question anyways.
Vox has always got around 7-8k with zatsu. If anything, his zatsu that day was overlapping with Ike's Omori so it could've been even higher until Reimu joined and tanked it.

It's true that not all VTubers have to be streamers, though. Lots of VTubers early on were uploaders, and there's still quite a few active ones sticking to the pre-edited video format.
YouTube has been always been a site for video uploads, and uploaders are still more relevant even after YouTube added livestreaming to their site.
It's only normal for more uploader VTubers to pop up and get big as VTubing as a whole gets bigger worldwide.
