I think he is just setting up a plan B after susan went to shit on his channel's monetization. If susan decides to shut down his channel, there is really nothing he and cover can do other than beg Youtube to bring it back. If I was in his position, I would also do the same so to avoid putting all my eggs into one basket. I think he will try everything to stay in holostars, but sometimes things are outside of his control and it's not a bad thing to have something to fall back to.
If I know anything about menheras like astel is that once they have invest in something greatly they wouldn't never let it go even if someone threaten to chop their hand off. The amount of effort and money he put in in his 3D debut would incurred so much sunk cost that someone like him wouldn't give up unless he is forced to.
To me, I think you are just being too paranoid, calm your tits down and watch his streams or hornypost, there is no need display just how much an oldfag you are and that you have spare cash to spend on his membership to gatekeep who is a fan and who isn't. He's been in holostars with worse numbers than before all these while, if he wants to leave, he would have left. As a fan, try to trust him a little more than that.
