Pretty sure her artist is to blame. Guy released a birthday piece 2 weeks after her birthday. Not sure if she's busy or lazy. He's skilled but his art just doesn't work as a rigged model.

she was an emergency hire and once they got her into holo they stopped caring. basically after myth came out and EN vtubers were inclining hard there was still a vtuber with a 100 mil viral vid who could have gotten scooped up by niji or vshojo and exploded in popularity. They weren't quite ready for an entire EN 2 gen so they whipped up some solo vsinger thing and called it good.

I kind of doubt there was much risk of her going anywhere else.
She was a big fan of Hololive and if I remember correctly had mentioned having Haachama as her Oshi.
You're right though, it would have sucked. I don't think she would have fit in with NijiEN at all.
Her skillset and personality make Hololive a much better match for her.
