>>20988186I think what a lot of people forget is that the larger vtubers actually do remember usernames. If you're an active chatter and leave comments, they'll start to remember you. It may not seem like it because of how many comments they get, but they do. Even putting that aside, while they may not have enough time to think about and remember each one of their viewers, they appreciate the collective efforts and actions of the group. When, say, Gura or Mori streams and comments about how they feel happy whenever they get to spend time with their Chumbuds/Deadbeats, that's referring to everyone who makes up that collective.
There's also the extremely subjective interpretation of what love actually is and what counts as love, but that's a bit too fucking meta for this conversation.
