Suisei is some kind of genius. She not only waited for Hololive to take her, she demanded they let her keep her original persona. She then got out of their deadend music group in half a year and endured being the outsider for a while before becoming the biggest music artist in the company that everyone respects and values the opinion of more than anyone else. Not really, she was rejected at first, but she reached out to Cover again and things worked out for her after that initial rejection.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure she has mentioned somewhere that they wanted her to be a new character and she refused, cover eventually just agreed to her staying as Suisei. How her contract with Cover works would be interesting, though I think regardless of whatever happens down the road she'd still always own the Suisei character.
