This was specifically a Pomu x Finana collab, adding a completely unrelated and unexpected third wheel actually ruins it. The only surprise that Adding more Luxiems to a Nina x Luxiem collab enhances it, it's as if Elira had showed up with Finana and Pomu instead.
Him being gay has nothing to do with it at all.
It could have even been one of the girls and you'd still see some malding, tho it would obviously be less because some people are just mad it's a guy in there.
