VShojo's setup is WAY different from Holo. They're so hands-off their talents may as well be indies. Quite literally they won't step in unless the talent requests it. The company's main workload is merchandise and organizing larger-scale opportunities like VILLS.

I don't necessarily believe Kson would be part of VSJP (though I do believe a JP branch is on the way)

Hypothetically speaking, but since Kson already has her own managers helping her with merch and other business stuff, how would it work IF she joins a group? Would she have to let em go to avoid some sort of conflict of interest, or would they let it slide?

Hypothetically, the smoothest way to do it would be to just absorb her whole team as part of VShojo JP. Currently I don't think they actually have anything more than HighGai and whoever runs the JP Twitter (aside from any staff/operations happening privately of course).

I don't know exactly what her setup is, if she's part of a company/agency or independently employing people, I don't follow Kson that closely. If it's the latter then it shouldn't be a huge problem.

Would be redundant, if nothing else, for her to be in VSJ while also retaining her independent management team.

You are actually allowed to still sell your own merch separately if you're a part of VShojo. Most of them don't do it that much since it's just easier to have VShojo deal with it and take a cut but it's allowed.

VShojo's centered in the US and stuff and the girls are allowed to maintain their own merch outside of the VShojo official stuff (Both Silver and Zen have separate merch stores they run themselves). An English-speaking group adding someone who is bilingual would carry with it the assumption from the audience that they'll be getting one more person to watch. Someone who almost never does English streams would go against audience expectations. But a Japanese branch wouldn't and the fact that she'd be able to communicate between both audiences would be good for her.

The real issue is that Twitch isn't as big in Japan for streaming as YouTube. Not impossible to do decently on it but the real market for solely JP streams is on YouTube.
For similar reasons it's why you'll never see Hololive or Nijisanji ever consider talents primarily streaming on Twitch even though (might be controversial to say here) it would be a better platform business wise for EN streaming

Twitch is shit because of it's moderation, you have to tip toe around certain things because of them. Yagoo said he wants a more "yankee"ish guy for the stars, and I could imagine a person like that being both a big hit, but having more edgy humor. Twitch hates that kind of thing and I could imagine them getting whacked for it by them, especially if they don't do partner or whatever it's called. So it could work for the more "clean" talents but anyone who doesn't "play ball" with their more political stuff would get shafted, and I could imagine things like the niji fuckers doing their best to put them on the spot with that. That said, if they managed to do that I'm pretty sure vshojo would start getting pretty fucked by it lmao

That's actually not true. Technically it's based on the individual contracts. A few channels (though rare) even manage to get a contract that let's them simulcast to both YouTube and Twitch at the same time
In theory Cover could negotiate a contract with Twitch that doesn't include exclusivity (not predicting it, just something that is technically possible).

Cover is notoriously retarded, I don't think they could manage it. I suppose if they could it wouldn't be that bad and they probably wouldn't get thrown out, but they'd still have to be careful, Twitch has "Twitch drama" on it all the time for a reason, the thing just attracts all kinds of freaks and weirdos so they probably would have to turn off things like raids and remove some more controversial people from their chats if they showed up. Honestly I could imagine many of the talents choosing not to go on there just because of the potential added hassel. That's also including the fact that Cover has said they "value their relationship" with Youtube in the past, so they may not go about it just because they've got something going on there.

Though while you can avoid the drama if you do that, yes, you also have to remember that Mori took a fucking week old twitter bait like a retard. The temptation for a person to make a comment you shouldn't live on stream is a much greater danger on twitch because a good deal of it's userbase tries to bait you into it because they love drama and because some other streamers would try to foster it as some of them leech off it. That and the fact that livestreaming trains you to speak your mind and talk a lot so as to not leave dead air only furthers the fact they may well hire someone who isn't a good enough self censor and fucks something up along the way.
