its both literally gay because they are inserting more LGBBBQT++* characters and lore and it's metahporically gay because the design space of RnD has been to just push a mythics then design hate for the mythics in the next set if they don't get banned because the meta warps around one single card that they would have caught if they beta-tested for a single hour. Also the movement to more efficient creatures has been quite sad for players who prefer spell slinging playstyles and hurts colors like Blue and White.

Fuck you, I was here before a mythic was thing. There have been many things that have made me dropped this game over the years. Expansion into more shitty specialty product instead of fixing the game, merchant-level reprints of literal staples making it impossible to properly play anything that isn't Standard or Commander and fucking this joke of a standard format in the past few years got me to drop that format. Soon enough commander will be unbearable now that WOTC decides to pander to it with every fucking product. I wouldn't be surprised if a Standard Masters series would get a new Commander Only fucking card at this point.
The fact that the number of bans in Standard between 1995-2016 was like 11 compared to the 21 since 2017 should tell you enough about where the fucking priorities of WOTC have been you shitbrain.

They've been including more minorities and LGBT characters in card art but that doesn't exactly preclude them including white characters either. We still get traditionally attractive white females like Serra and Rowan for every Kaya and Samut. At least they thematically try fitting the character to the plane they exist in like Huatli being in the Aztec themed set, or Samut in the Egypt themed set, etc. Most media that try to incorporate minorities for the sake of diversity do so with a lot less nuance.

MTGA is designed to make for two things.
1.) It removes the secondary market. Every single MTGA funbux spent is directly Hasbro/WOTC unlike MTGO where free trading exists and tickets are their own proto-crypto/currency and an individual could actually make money out of their cards.
2.)It captures the faggots who would never play Standard or MTG to begin with (or would have payed for it). The people who would never pay for cardboard but would rather play a video game for 2-3 hours just to earn a pack or two.
If you want to play MTG for free, Cockatrice and just kitchen table has existed for far longer than MTGA.

The paper secondary market still exists. Obviously MTGA doesn't have one itself because you can actually accumulate a collection while being F2P unlike MTGO which mirrors real world pricing if you're buying sealed product. Even if you just look at standard, the average price of decks was declining even before the pandemic despite having relatively more cards that hold value in eternal formats. Combined with the fact that MTGA provides a completely free, (if not ideal) option, it's never been cheaper in the last decade to play standard.

Something to note is that Ina can very easily enable powerful combos, due to the Scions refunding 1 mana per spell cast. Out of all of these, Ina is the most competitive probably.

Isn't kiara a little broken if you have a sacrifice engine? at the endgame, once you hit 8 mana, strip mining and drawing 2 every turn seems like a good way to end a game fast, plus whatever benefit you get from sac'ing her. If you can do it at instant speed, you could even attack and force a block.

9 Mana for a strip mine/draw 2 every turn that also demands a sac outlet isn't very good. Kiara's ability can be activated any number of times from the graveyard, so I imagine she'd be better as some sort of weird Rishadan port.

In terms of power level it definitely feels like Ina is strongest, followed by Mori.

Arithmetic errors aside, taking a second look at it, I would think mori would be by far the strongest, assuming you have some way to reliably flicker. Ina seems incredibly fragile, and I just don't see how she wins you the game, and if your strategy relies on her to cast things you shouldn't be able to, any source of targeted damage means you can't cast half your hand anymore.

I haven't played seriously in about 5 years, so maybe the meta is completely different now and I'm overlooking something.

Ina is great in EDH where you won't even have cards in your hand that you cannot cast because of her color identity (which is Gruul, because EDH color identity is determined prior to the game start and thus prior to the keyword Devoid). She's too slow for Standard and Limited is a durdle fight where anything goes anyway

I like her as an hybrid because of the duality of her persona as either a very greedy person, or a very passionate vtuber. Coco is someone who draws a lot of haters, but also a lot of gachikois. So, it's kinda fiting to be a hybrid card. Also, I wanted her aspect as a "Greedy Dragon" to show on the card too.

I just want to say, if you want to make custom cards, don't use Cardsmith. I personally use Magic Set Editor but if you don't have access to Windows or just want something that's easier to use then you can use MTG.design. Cardsmith cards look like ass and it has paid features that are free on the other card makers.

The synergy is Okayu "sweet-taking" creatures into your side, while Korone sacrifices them afterwards. I kinda want them to be a duo focused on "stealing, then sacrificing".
The pinger ability on Korone is an afterthought, I'll admit it. It just makes sense if she's a gunslinger.

Then it should be the other way around. While Red, blue, and black all get steal effects, usually sacrifice creature effects are more Black based, while temporary stealing is in Red. It makes more sense for Korone to steal, and Okayu to sac. Not to mention that Okayu is just kind of busted.

I don't know, man. For me, Okayu is the charismatic one, while Korone is the trigger happy one. That's why I made them like this.
About Okayu, she might be kinda busted, but she is very easy to counter. You just need a 1/1.

I feel like a Hololive cardgame would use colors to denote playstyles based on different kinds of stream.

Red: Gaming (Aggro)
Blue: Zatsudan (Stall/Mill)
Black: ASMR (Burn)
Green: Art/Drawing/Creative (Swarm)
White: Karaoke/Singing (Control)
Purple: Lore stream (Gimmicks like resurrection, monster stealing)

Thus different holos would have different playstyles themed on their actual strengths (Korone cards are red Unga Bunga cards, Marine cards are either blue or green and all about swarming the field and stalling to force a deck out, Ame cards would form a red/purple hybrid that steals cards she destroys)

You could just write suspend. All that text should just be in parenthesis as reminder text. Also, I think you should make it a "may" ability so you aren't just fucked trying to counter a spell, but are forced to suspend it and make it worthless

The whole point of it to make it balanced is to make it symmetric because I would like ALL the cards to have suspend. Creates interesting political situations in a multiplayer game but it also gives you an advantage since you can put stuff in your deck that lets you cast spells with flash like picrel right before your turn starts to have it enter on that turn.

Marine would probably be the "jack of all trades" deck (probably alongside Fubuki coincidentally enough). Can't hit as hard as Koro-san or Botan, can't fill up the field like Ina, but has a lot of versatility so she can side deck in what cards she needs depending on the matchup.
