there was no Indian market, the non-Indian English marketing didn't care and the attempt to change the name drove home that a simple name change wasn't going to magically pull an audience out of thin air.
they made three attempts to market them after launch: including them in NIJINYANJI (an event for nips who have never had much interest in the other branches), having a clip of them during Nijifest (again, nips didn't care) and shilling them on the Nijisanji World twitter account which had only started to see other growth a couple months before their graduation with subbed JP stuff
which the World accounts have since stopped doing.
with EN at least they fixed the mistake of failing to advertise them.
