Moot sold 4chan to some dude named Hiroshima who turned it into a worksafe datamining platform where posting a pair of tits got you banned. There was this shithole called /vt/ where you couldn't discuss anime girls without fifty filipinos, indogs and malays with literal brain parasites spamming your thread from their candy bar smartphones. The virtual anime girls were fucking amazing, but then every once in a while they'd lose their minds and stream themselves with random dudes in love hotels while calling their fanbase incels. There was like this whole decade-long period where I couldn't play Age of Empires with anybody but Russians because the MSN Gaming Zone closed down.
It was fucking crazy. I'm so glad the nightmare is over.
