No one thought she was in Niji after they all debuted. Anons were speculating it might be true until it demonstrably wasn't. It's no different than people guessing what the final evolutions of the next Pokemon starters might end up looking like. That's not the same thing as when Mumei debuted and everyone instantly recognized who she was and provided mountains of evidence of why that was true. At that point only ESL morons argued otherwise, always referring to the fact that anons were wrong with regards to the prior speculation that happened without evidence.
