Seems like they're mostly fucked. Girl with most subs can't even stream because broken PC and is on hiatus. She's saying she can't even do a graduation stream. Vtubers have massive start up costs, especially if you want to actually provide them with models that aren't just a glorified png. Debuting five talents could easily put you 20 grand into the hole, and that's not counting the cost of paying your interviewers and stuff.

The talents are also presumably getting some level of salary, which would be paid once they're hired before they even debut. Depending on how they did it that could be several months of salary for each member as well

Yeah, what people mean by "small corpos" here actually means Tsunderia, Prism project, Production Kawaii, Phase Connect, Cyberlive and maybe MyholoTV and aikoair.
I don't think many people here watch groups like 4vlive, amberglow, Vrevrie or haven X.

None of the talents sound very happy, and not in an "oh we're so sad this is ending" kind of way. More of a "we just got fucked over" kind of way. I'm guessing they didn't get their last several revenue checks with promises to eventually be compensated and then got hit with "we're broke, we're closing down, you can keep your model, don't sue us ok?, good luck".
