I remember feeling so hyped for Myth's debut, watching them all live and being absolutely starstruck, and since then, nothing has really given me that sort of hype and love for vtubing since. The hobby just doesn't have the soul it once had, it just doesn't feel the same anymore. I feel like this decline started hitting around Coco's graduation, something about that final concert did something to me, and I wasn't even a huge fan of her content.
Holo has lost its magic for me, there are constant stretches of chuubas playing the same game for months on end (it doesn't help having Ina as my oshi, with twelve of her last twenty streams being fucking Elden Ring) and very few holos feel entertaining anymore.
I tried to get into Niji for more diverse content, but all the drama pushed me away from watching most Nijis, outside of some of the Luxiem members.
VShojo is utterly soulless, where most of their chuubas have gone to complete shit (outside of Melody, mostly).
I'm considering the 2view pill, but I'm scared I'll grow to hate it soon enough too.
All i do now when I'm not playing vidya and doing work is coming to this board and getting into flame wars. I just feel like a cynical asshole, where I'm not even sure if I like vtubers anymore, I just come to this board out of habit and tribalfag, even though I try to stay out of bait threads.
This site overall sucks, but I can't stop coming. Everything sucks right now, I feel like I don't enjoy anything anymore.
