>>21812309What Mori has is a solid idea of her preferred genre and enough skillset to keep pushing for it, she has a musical identity that distinguishes her from others. It doesn't mean she's the best rapper or best singer, but she's VERY distinctive. Hell, I've seen plenty of deadbeat chuubas (Enna included) that absolutely mog Mori in the singing department. Workaholic autism aside, Mori also writes her own lyrics and knows people within the Japanese music scene despite her less than stellar Japanese, and that speeds up the process of making new songs because she does the legwork herself instead of waiting for Cover. And it's not just Mori, Myth is a highly independent generation with their own personal goals and it shows with Kiara's outreach crosscompany and Ame's own 3D projects. I can see them all retiring to background industry roles in 5-10 years.
For Irys, She has decades of experience all she needs is some help freeing up her restrictions and obligations as a vsinger give her enough creative freedom to write and plan her own songs in the style she wants. Here Comes Hope is just screams "Irys" despite being her first time singing rock songs. If she leans more to that direction I'm betting we'll get more something more unique in the future.
Bae is a good singer too, but she needs to find her own "style" to make her stand out. So far so good since her cover and orisong choices lean towards upbeat dance music. It's gonna be popular with the keeds, I bet.
And Ollie, she's not exactly the best singer in her generation or her branch, but she has a stylistic idea of what she wants to do and a skillset to pull it off decently. Electro swing is fun to listen to and she's already spec'd to rap. She just doesn't have the industry connections though, but I'm sure that's what Hololive (And Mori/Reine if they're willing to share) are for.
