You're fucking retarded.
First of all, PekoMiko and Gurame aren't even comparable. Gurame still semi-regularly collabs every month or two, PekoMiko rarely collabs.
And this isn't to bring down PekoMiko. I love PekoMiko. But come the fuck on.
Gurame is genuine. It's authentic. Gura and Ame were two girls seeking comfort and consistency in a new, daunting environment.
Who supplied that consistent support and intimacy? They did. For each other.
Gura and Ame collabed 12 times in the first 4 months. They had back-to-back collabs on Christmas week (Die Hard and Apex). They were inseparable.
Oh, and here's a rare clip (
https://youtu.be/BDY01ZNleLU?t=49). Gura used to ask Ame every week on what they'd do that week. That's friendship.
To this date, their A Way Out stream was the magnum opus of all two-player collabs. The greatest stream Hololive has ever produced.
Why? It was magical. It was like we were on an adventure with both of them, as they learned more about each other and became closer and more comfortable with each other, so did we with them.
The bants. The fun they had over the minigames. The raw emotion and sadness at the end of the game, when Gura shot Ame, held back her tears, and made it adamant that she wanted to separate Ame from the character
https://youtu.be/Awd5U8H2UPg?t=142And even beyond AWO, Gurame was close. They talked about living together. Off-collabs. They admitted that they talk to each other the most off-stream of any EN girl (from the holofes 2021 interviews they gave), and they were always in each other's chats and streams.
Gurame was, and still is, something magical. The girls may not be lovers. They may never be lovers. But that's okay. They're friends, inseparable friends. Best of friends. They've forged a relationship that'll last until the end of their lives, just by virtue of them somehow joining hte same idol agency at the same time.
And the best thing? We, the viewers, were there alongside them, as their relationship grew and blossomed.
So is it bittersweet that they don't collab as much anymore? Yes. Or that they seem to be doing their own thing and don't talk as much off-stream anymore? Yes.
But, that's just how human relationships work. People fall out of favour but still remain close, and with time, that spark is often rekindled. The small moments of magic -- Ame's guerilla collab call-in to Gura's meme review -- their fortnite duo collab -- their interactions on multiple group collabs.
It shows that they're still magical. They're still Gurame. And, I still love them.
