Nah it's good like this, otherwise people would leech immediately based on prior connections. Imagine you debut and your first stream right after is a collab with Pekora or Marine and your genmate is stuck doing solo streams.

That’s not quite accurate. The other EN girls realized the collab ban was retarded, so they specifically asked for it to be shortened and even then only shortened it two weeks. If they hadn’t had spoken up, then management would have continued to see no problem with it.

The collab ban is weird. Imagine being hired to play on a teams sport but management won't let you talk to the rest of the team or share the lockerroom for a month .

A lot of leagues do have a rookie-only training camp that starts like 2 weeks early, so the new players get acclimated instead of just being tossed in with vets on day 1.

The collab ban makes perfect sense in most cases. It allows the new members to get used to their environment, build up camaraderie with gen mates and allows them the freedom to create their own streaming style & accompanying fanbase. In Irys’ case the ban was way too long but in hindsight it did allow people a chance to see her strengths as a solo streamer.
