>>22012188this. i feel that 'project hope' is holding her back because the producers themselves are having an aneurysm over making English-translated Japanese pop songs very strictly focused on Hope, Despair and Love in that order. If she was marketed as a JP Vsinger then there is no doubt that she would find moderate success in that area but that isn't the case.
Regardless, I did enjoy the CoD EP overall and only one song in Journey because there is potential for her to try out different genre like pop rock as shown in 'Here Comes Hope' where Myth & Roid had major contribution into the song's production and god damn does it sound good. and in Journey's 'Bare Your Teeth' where the lyrics are so cringe metal but I love it as much as any Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas songs.
Cover definitely needs to get songwriters that not only writes "English" songs, but also sing them well. Get the guys from One OK rock on the project. They definitely have the magic when it comes to collabs. Aimer comes to mind where she would sing mostly English songs with them and I love those songs a lot. Hell, if they can't get One OK rock, then get the guys from Survive Said the Prophet. They sing mostly English songs for a Japanese band. If Cover wants to get more adventurous in the pop genre, get Hikaru Utada in there since IRyS is a huge fan.
