>>22087275Yeah but modern dryers these days have gentle settings for lower heat and slower movement, plus even an "air dry" setting which adds no heat, only air circulation to simulate air drying. Plus leaving your clothes outside is much worse for clothes because long exposure to sunlight ruins fabric worse than dryers.
And apparently the reason why Japs don't use dryers isn't really due to worries that it's rough on clothes but it's other factors like they think letting clothes dry with the air makes them "fresher" and large electric appliances like dryers just tend to be abnormally expensive in Japan, as well as the fact that most folks simply don't have room for it in their living spaces.
It was funny when Nene said going to the coin laundry sounds "high class" because here in the states at least doing your laundry at a laundromat establishment is seen as low-class.
