They can, they own the character and any fanart of them.
They won't, they rather make something brand-unique. Smol Ame is an exception because it's too big in fandom and very lovable by it but usually corpos prefer their own designs.

This is correct- she polled viewers between the VRchat button-eye dollRyS and one that looked "more accurate" to her art. SomeFuckingHow the 'accurate' version won the poll by a fair landslide, 70-30ish iirc

She referred to it a few times on streams following her birthday stream, and said she does eventually want to use the button-eye doll as some kind of merch, just not sure what, if not another plushie.
