I think there's a level of cynicism though to think they are constantly looking at their coworkers with jealousy. Obviously it happens from time to time but it wasn't that long ago Hololive had 3k sub celebrations and whatnot. I think a lot of them are probably humbled with the amount of love they get. It's just the way of the world to acknowledge that English will dominate the market compared to a tiny island country.
What's really shocking to me is that HoloID didn't take off with how most of them were trinlingual but with Ollie's enthusiasm, rise in numbers, and frequent collabs, I think it's safe to say it has more to do with their own motivation. Meanwhile, her genmates have barely scratched the surface with working with the rest of the cast. It's easy to look into this and see it as a business and you'd be right. These people were introduced to others and told to be friends for the camera for fun. At the same time it's a business about selling personalities. They're not selling skills or even looks, just themselves. They could resent coworkers but they all have much greater opportunity by being involved with a big corporation willing to help finance songs and projects and provide advertising while also providing a list of assets in the form of coworkers that you can play off of to gain popularity without worry of anything messing up your reputation.
This is all to say I think Polka understands that very well as an experienced vtuber herself. In the world of youtubers, you typically don't get second chances. You get in a situation where you can't continue and then you're done. Vtubers can bypass that but it doesn't make it easy. She has already doubled her original channel's popularity. After struggling with stuff for so long, you know it has to feel good rather than bitter. Of course, if it was someone else I might understand where you're coming from but all I'm saying is try to look at it from a different angle compared to a fan's who is pissed at a shark for beating their oshi without doing jack shit in comparison.
