Froot makes sense because frankly she's from the northern part of Yorkshire where the accent can be really difficult for non British to understand, she's not from middle or South Yorkshire where the accent is more akin to Ned Stark that has a certain charm you can understand, hers is from a rustic village and it can be quite dirty and incomprehensible for foreigners or even southern english poofters.
Given she's an entertainer she'll obviously have to speak in a more laymans accent for people to understand.
