Zoe Quinn is a pretty infamous name if you keep up with video games. She became noteworthy despite having no accomplishments because she buddied up with a number of game journalists with high visibility which earned her a bit of coverage on a shitty text adventure game she was working on. An ex-boyfriend of her's claims that she was cheating on him with said game journalists and some people believe this to mean she traded sex for positive coverage. Based on what I've seen, this is most likely true. Woman is completely unhinged and a pathological liar that has claimed to have been raped on several different occasions, at least one of which she claims to have fended off by stabbing and killing her attacker. She also decided to change her gender pronouns to they/them.
Alec and Zoe lived together very briefly, like a week or so if I recall correctly. Several years later, during the height of the #MeToo movement, Zoe comes out on twitter accusing Alec of not allowing her to leave the house, being very abusive, and attempting to ruin her "career". Difficult to decide if this is true or not because it's less extreme than her usual rape allegations and because of Alec's propensity for angry outbursts. The flood of messages he got on social media and presumably offline as well resulted in him killing himself.
The indie scene makes a big song and dance about how sad this is even though they were literally just attacking him for being an abuser, and then Zoe whines that she is the victim in all of this on Twitter before taking a break for like 1 week or something. Now she's one of the maggots feeding off whatever scraps she can find in the western comic book industry.
