It's many things desu so in part I'll just have to be brief.
How they treat the males vs females for example, this is a larger topic I could go into more detail but it'd be way too long so ill just be taken out of context here. Tldr just compare the exposure and push ethyria got as opposed to lux. There was so much effort in pushing lux while ethyria got the shit end. And while there's no way of knowing if things are mandated or not you can still feel a heavy male push in many areas. If you don't want to watch the males you didn't really have a choice for awhile. And even the more solo oriented ones will keep parroting memes from them so you're never really free of the influence.
Collabs being Overdone. People will point to lazulight at the start but even then they had less than we were getting the past few weeks. And there a huge difference between a group of 3 people in minecraft, and a group of 20 people interchanging constantly, especially when you don't care for the majority of them. And back to male vs female, the fanbase is not the same. Blame unicorns or fujos or whatever, but fans of Luca typically aren't fans of Enna, they might not hate each other but they won't get anything out of a collab between the two because they don't like Luca. And they probably like Enna because she goes on long rants and is funny on her own, both of which completely disappear when she collabs and she immediately loses her appeal.
Thats not to say all collabs are always bad, but the way they handle them are bad and just feels like they're trying to wring out every drop from an idea. Which goes into those off-collabs. The first one was great and the surprise guest felt special. Then they repeated it twice in less than 2 weeks and it immediately got old. That's not going into the bullshit of uki even, just how all 3 happened at once felt so fucking forced and dull, like they had the idea and just wanted to milk it all at once.
Thats really what nijien feels like in many ways, theyre just trying to pump and dump ideas as fast as possible and ditch it once it's dried. It's part of content creation but it's just so blunt and surface level in their case.
The unity shit is dumb too. There's 20 people were not going to watch then all. Even with 6 it was silly to expect us to care for all of them. Buf now they expect us to like all 20. That isn't happening and I straight up hate half of them. So constantly acting like we should like everyone equally gets grating.
Gameplay focus sucks. Video game streams are usually terrible. There's exceptions of course, but 99% of the time it sucks. But 90% of the streams are just video games.
They don't really seem to care or respect their fanbases either. At the start they did but as things moved on its felt more like they're going to do what they want and if fans don't like it they can fuck off. They don't even have marshmallows open anymore. Often times it feels like they're actually being intentionally hostile to the people who complain here and doing it to egg people on for not liking their content anymore.
Last I'll mention because phone posting sucks. And this is basically just the unity meme one again.
It's really stopped feeling like you follow anyone in nijien. You're supposed to follow the group as a whole. And idgaf about the group. I want the 2-3 streamers I like and I'll focus on them. But in nijien I don't feel like I can do it.
With nijijp I can watch toko, and just get toko. At most I'll get ange and lize too but those collabs are rare and it's with the 2 who are close friends with her so it works.
In nijien I can watch rosemi, then it's rosemi + 3 luxium guys. Or I watch pomu and finana, and suddenly for some reason uki is there.
Or even pre lux, I'd watch literally anyone and suddenly Nina is there spouting her retarded honeys every 3 seconds.
