>>2248411I'm not... yet.
Growing up I was always told, "You have a face for radio." Although, I suppose to update that to a non-millennial audience, "You have a face for podcasting."
I have a deep, projectable, baritone voice and a frame that any NFL quarterback would want. The problem is, on the inside I'm a sporty goth who likes to write and dreams about fucking monstergirls.
I've considered biting the Babinku pill but I don't know if I have the personality to hold the attention of viewers. The only thing I'm passively good at, other than being a gym-rat, is speedrunning kinda obscure Japanese (slightly lewd) brawlers. I want to branch out into new speedruns like Nier or Othercide, maybe some Ring-Fit here and there, but I'd have to learn them from scratch.
Equipment and Live2D commission costs are a complete non-factor because I did really well on stonks this year.
It's just...I wouldn't be 'in it to win it' so-to speak. It would only ever be a hobby. Even in the extremely unlikely chance I'm noticed, I wouldn't pursue signing with anyone because I have a job that I really enjoy and wouldn't want to turn my hobby into a chore.
There are too many questions right now that I can't answer and that is keeping me from pulling the trigger. Like; Am I a good enough actor to keep a face on for hours on end while I also focus on speedrunning? Does the chuuba community need another half-involved babi speedrunner? Do I want to invest into setting up, and keep up, the social media presence for my avatar? What good am I contributing to the community? Would I be willing to do collabs or promote other non-speedrunning chuubs?
The only way to know for sure, is to do the thing... but idk if it's worth it.
