Something that a lot of you seem to overlooked regarding the situation with Miko and Marine--aren't they at fault for not having some spine? What I mean by that is that if you think about thus incident, who really has the most leverage here? Is it the so-called "artist?" No. Is it Cover? No. It's actually Miko and Marine. If they had simply responded to the presumable demand handed down by Yagoo and the rest of the brass that they make an apology by saying "We refuse to apologize under any circumstances; fire us if you dare," Cover would have been forced to back down. If both Miko and Marine, two of the most popular members, left the company right now at the same time on publicly bad terms, Hololive itself would immediately lose ground and maybe even go under in the long run (see: upd8). Cover knows this too. What's more, it's not like either Miko or Marine need the company or their avatars at this point. Both of them have previous experience livestreaming as themselves, both of them are good-looking, and both now have hundreds of thousands of fans who would follow them anywhere. They are unironically not mere corporate slaves. They should have worked together to stand up to the management and categorically refused to apologize.
