I get this thread is a joke and all. But I wonder how knowledgeable Cookie is about the VTuber sphere. She seems serious about this and not using this as a one-off, and she hired Lamy's mama to do the art. There's at least a bit of research done, but from skimming her channel there seems to be nothing anime-adjacent which is the main lure of VTubing.

It's highly produced content, it won't necessarily reflect her personal tastes since you know, she has her own studio behind her. But she followed the conventional debut format, and her roblox content has her own avatar which formed the basis of her vtuber design. So it's not too far off, just coming from a different angle than anime.
Expect more creators to jump on the motion tracked avatar train in the future, and most of them won't bother with the trappings of the vtuber format like a formal debut.

That said, I do think her Roblox video wasn't as good. Mainly because the game itself provides nothing particularly entertaining, and no matter how hard she tries to make it interesting, it's still full of childish cringe like the weird FNAF character edits.
Basically, it seems like she bounces off of the game content she's playing really well, but for games like Roblox, that' doesn't appeal to me at all. I'll still watch her content though.

You know I'm not normally a fan of people with existing accounts just hopping on the VTuber trend but I really like that she actually made a point of getting a really good looking model, unlike people like Pokimane and Pewdiepie who are insanely successful and their model looks like hot garbage because obviously they don't really care. And from what I've seen of her she actually comes off as a genuinely kind and, dare I use the meme word, wholesome person.
Skimming through this thread I guess a lot of people are saying more or less the same thing but I thought I'd chime in and say I feel that way too. For once I understand why she has 17 million subs. I have a feeling she's going to win all of us over as well.

Whatever the premise of the game is she puts herself in it, rather than acting as a person playing a game. She responds to people and events in the game personally rather than at one step removed. And she never ever lets it drop for entire 30+ min videos. It's honestly impressive, some vtubers put forward a character but they rarely 100% immerse you in it.
