Sony VEE was the 50 chuubas project which is different from VERSEn. The last communication from VEE was in October last year when they tweeted that they finished first stage of auditions: https://twitter.com/_vee_official_. Since then there hasn't been any news, I wouldn't be surprised it was canceled after they saw how VERSEn did.
