A streamer's audience takes after the streamer in general.
Nijisanji is a bit similar to VShojo in that there is no "unified audience", everyone is split among the different livers, and some of the talents/fans don't know of others' existence.
This causes problems when one liver has an issue with another and addresses it on stream (Chaika with Ryushen, Roa vs Meiro etc.).
Remember that despite the news coming out about Meiro being a cunt, there were a lot of livers INSIDE Nijisanji who supported her and tried to mediate between them(Chaika, Maimoto etc.).
Nijisanji fans are already used to shitting on other talents because there are plenty of Nijisanji members who do it themselves, so none of their sensible peers can really shame them about it.
Again, the nijifans are not always united, but there is a sizeable portion of the fanbase who are complete assholes to anyone that's not their favorite.
Once Hololive emerged as a viable competitor, this mentality simply shifted over to them as well, but holos do NOT talk shit about other holos (in a serious way). They might make fun of people's rooms, habits etc. but it's almost always in good fun, and no one really seethes about being made fun of on stream (could also be because they talk with each other behind the scenes a lot to make sure everything is cool between them, and work to make things better if they crossed the line anywhere - according to FBK).
Most Holofans either don't know, or are content with ignoring Nijisanji entirely. But there were Nijisanji fans not just on this site, but on 5ch as well who took every opportunity they had to shit on Holos for any reason (numbers, talent, swimsuits, game skills, anything else under the sun).
The Aloe thing was probably the peak of it, but since Holos themselves didn't really hate on Nijisanji, the fans didn't do anything obnoxious either. But the anger over that still persists in anonymous places like these.
Since NijiJP has curbed shittalking (actual) about their colleagues on stream, their reputation has gotten a lot better. But the hate for Nijisanji fans was earned over three years of shitposting, realposting and real-life consequences caused by their actions.
Contrast to that, Holofans have done very little harm to any members of Nijisanji, mainly because their fanbase has been trained by their streamers to be nice to others. This is why blatant Nijishilling and UNTIYposting is tolerated on the subreddit. There's nothing that Holofans have done that would give them a bad reputation, so anyone saying "holofans are just as bad" are immediately outed as liars.
