>>22768449No no, I fully understand that. It's hard for me to explain what I really mean because I'm a fucking idiot. Let me at least try, and know that I'm not trying to argue that anything we're currently dealing with is terrible corporate trash. I like all the vtubers that I have seen, and enjoy them for what they are.
Corporate Vtubers are fine now because we're still only in the early stages of it. The corporations behind them got into this for the express purpose of making money off vtubers, and to bring us the best experience for that so that they could leech as much money as possible. Normal shit.
Now that they're really getting popular, though not yet entirely mainstream. The large faceless corporations will take interest and begin to turn this hobby we enjoy into something as broadly marketable as possible. So that the people that currently believe this is a weird perverse entertainment for incels can talk about on the metaverse or whatever facebook becomes soon.
So, basically we'll be stuck the Netflix movies of vtubing once they have their way.
I could be, and probably am very wrong, and there's nothing we can really do about it. I just worry for the future. Still, I'm glad I was here to experience at least some of the pure vtuber weirdness before it gets taken away and turned into Family Guy or Stranger Things.
