But this comment actually has some truth to it.
Mori gets her own shit done. She has since before HL, she has a catalog of dozens of original songs which are pretty legit IMO.
What most people here probably don't realize is that Idols are fundamentally NOT viewed as, or designed to be super talented musicians.
This is why they wait for someone to make an original song FOR them.
It's a different industry, mostly made to foster a para-social relationship to get those big bucks on merch.
Unfortunately this industry DOMINATES a large portion of the Japanese music industry (because they can profit more from it when the talents rely on them for everything)
Basically big corpos have made exploiting young wannabes SO prevalent that it's hard for anyone to even SEE that it's possible to do it any other way.
They make it seem impossible for someone to do it on their own and recruit the girls super young (a decent amount starting BELOW age 8).
Then have them focus on the superficial bullshit while actively deterring them from learning how to actually create music, promising training, promising "professionals will do it better dont even try", then exploiting the FUCK out of them.
Yall should look more into the idol industry and how it fucking sucks.
