Real reason? She’s just not a very good streamer. She hasn’t improved her conversation skills at all since her days as a Twitch 2view. Her streams are long stretches of dead air with the occasional grunt or dull question for “engagement.” She was noticeably conscious of this problem early on and would try to put on a performance, but she’s completely reverted to zero efforting streams at this point.
Her streams are generally also awful if you want variety. There was a long string of nothing but Apex and Oblivion at one point. She’s now doing similar with Elden Ring. If you aren’t into zoomer meme games, you’ll not find much to bring you back. And her non-gaming content is extremely lazy and unpopular, particularly watchalongs and unarchived karaokes.
Fortunately, she’s a terrible person, so she deserves her bad numbers.

i'll put it into perspective, despite everything's that's going wrong in terms of people not coming to streams or random schizos not liking her content she still has 5k members on the low side. assuming a 30% cut, she makes at minimum $7.5k not including superchats, or the Hololive streamer wage they give to all their streamers, or any money made off of merch. she's doing better than 95% of indies while also putting in minimal effort.
unless a rushia incident happens where she's automatically fired, all these false flags that ame is one of the worst off streamers is cope. all the lowest viewed holos still make more money than the highest viewed nijiEN girls, while also doing less effort.
