>>23120163I feel like most skills are directly transferable, especially when using MH:R as the MH game in question as MH:R has weapon abilities and Elden Ring does as well. Katana use in MH:Rise is more complex than Katana use in Elden Ring.
The only point of contention I'd think would be Malenia because there is no good Monster Hunter analogue to her blade dance, however, Malenia is optional firstly and a shield prevents the ability from killing you secondly even if Kanata is physically unable to dodge it properly.
After watching her performance against Apex Rathalos in Rise, the duo sky dragons, etc, I don't really believe she'll have major issues with Elden Ring. Further, in ER, there are a number of tricks you can pull to vastly increase your offensive and defensive performance which MH series lacks.
The major issue I see, however, is other Holo's precedents ruining Kanata's chance of playing Elden Ring normally.
Elden Ring is played normally by using ash summons, picking the time to fight bosses, and modifying your equipment based on bosses.
Many other Holos are doing shit like never using summons, barely using items, fighting bosses early with poor hitpoint values and low charges of flasks, and so on.
