1) She enunciates very clearly, like she used to go for speech therapy or something.
2) She has a subtle speech impediment, namely her sibilance (hissing "s" noises). She's kind of sensitive about it, but she hasn't figured out how to get rid of it.
3) She has basically no power to her voice, and can't comfortably speak with any kind of force to it. Her dad has the same issue, it's either genetic or learned and her vocal coach is trying to force her out of it to little success.
4) Fauna wants to be cute and girly at all times, and speaks cutely because that makes her feel more like herself (her own words). For example, she normally mutes her sneezes because she's upset they aren't cute enough and doesn't want to be known for having "dad sneezes". So she likes sounding cute and soft, resulting in her using her "stream voice" basically as her regular speaking voice.
