>>23042698I'm the one that got to round 3. They did ask for 60+ hours a month for streaming and there was a checkbox that said "are you willing to voice an original character created by VShojo?". Everything this anon says about the form is correct.
For those that got past round 2, we got that late February email right when they tweeted about it. It said we're still interested in you, please reply to confirm that you're still interested in this opportunity. I replied yes, they replied saying they'd follow up "in the next week" with details. There was no email until over a month later. Some people said they emailed them before that and got no response. I said nothing and waited. Once the email came in, it was them deeply apologizing and saying that this was all "a learning experience" for them. They'd reach out via their VP of Talent by April 22nd, and we were to wait for that. "We look forward to speaking with you personally" was how they signed off. They gave us her email so we knew where that email would be coming from. We were excited to finally move forward with the process.
From there, I got an email close to midnight at the end of the 22nd saying they would not be moving forward with the application, from Gunrun himself. They offered $500 to "support our VTuber journey" and as a token for making it that far. The email offered us the chance to reply with feedback we may have and other ways to contact Gunrun if we needed to communicate anything further. It was nicely worded and I believe that he meant well, but the money and the timing makes it seem like he's running major damage control because the team holding the auditions was incapable of doing right by those who auditioned. I feel bad for him but at the end of it, it's upper management's fault that this was handled like this. Either hire people who are competent to hold these auditions, or don't do them. All you're doing is alienating good creators in this community from your company.
So in the end, there was no round 3 for us. We simply got told we made it past round 2, waited for months, and then got suddenly dropped. I might reply to the email to give some feedback, but I don't think I'll go messaging him about anything else. I'm so done with how this all panned out, and most of the people I've spoken to are saying they don't trust the company enough to apply for them again.
